Questions about Bing Pixel and UET tag setup.

UET (Universal Event Tracking) is Microsoft Advertising’s tracking tag — it’s functionally identical to Meta Pixel or the Google Ads tag. It goes on every page of your site, records visitor behaviour and custom events, and sends that data to Microsoft Ads for conversion tracking, remarketing, and Smart Bidding. “Bing Pixel” and “UET tag” refer to the same thing.
Importing conversions from Google Ads works short-term but has limitations: it only captures conversions Google already tracked, misses Microsoft-specific attribution paths, and doesn’t build Microsoft remarketing audiences. Native UET tracking is always more accurate for Microsoft Ads optimisation and is what we set up.
N/A for CPA means either (1) you have no conversion goals set up in Microsoft Ads, (2) your conversion goals exist but no events are firing correctly, or (3) the UET tag isn’t on the pages where conversions happen. We audit all three in a free 20-minute session and identify the exact issue.
Microsoft Ads recommends at least 30 conversions per month per campaign before switching to Target CPA. If you’re below that, Enhanced CPC is a good intermediate — it still uses conversion signal to adjust bids without requiring statistical minimum. We configure whichever is appropriate for your current volume.
Microsoft Ads requires a minimum of 1,000 active members for a remarketing list before it can be used in campaigns. For most e-commerce sites, All Visitors lists hit that threshold within 1–7 days. Cart Abandoner and Past Purchaser lists take longer depending on your traffic volume. We set them all up on day one so they start building immediately.
